About Me

Hi! I'm Jenny Ayers, an experienced editor, avid reader, and seasoned educator with a background in business, academia, and fiction. This unique blend gives me both sharp editing skills and a true love for making stories shine.

I have taught English courses for 16 years—many of those at Enloe High School, a prestigious GT/IB magnet school in Raleigh, NC, known for academic excellence across the humanities, STEM, and the arts. 

In my current role as an editor for a media outlet, I write, copy edit, and proofread articles, research reports, and marketing materials, ensuring every piece is accurate, polished, and aligned with our audience. 

For over a decade, I’ve also helped students prepare for college through ACT/SAT English and Reading prep, application strategy, and essay support, making the process less stressful and more successful for students and families.

With a lifelong passion for words and a wide range of professional experience, I have a deep understanding of language, grammar, and the nuances of effective storytelling. This foundation allows me to provide thoughtful feedback and guidance to authors and students alike, helping them elevate their writing to its full potential.
